Tour Itinerary

Dates:  Mon 23 Jan (Day1)- Fri 3 Feb (Day 12)

This allows flexibility in planning the trip around a 2wk holiday, but dependent on the group, we may help organise a bonus trip for those staying longer.

Itinerary:

Day 1 Meet Chiang Rai, drive to border (2hrs), cross into Laos (will have time to ride a bit in the arvo)
Day 2 Mekong boat trip to Pak Beng
Day 3 Mekong boat trip to Luang Prabang
Day 4 Luang Prabang - 60km ride to beautiful Kuang Sii Waterfall
Day 5 Luang Prabang -  Rest day or ride around villages
Day 6 ride 78km to Kiu Ka Cham
Day 7 ride 95km to Kasi
Day 8 ride 58km to Vang Vieng
Day 9 Vang Vieng - rest day
Day 10 ride approx 107km to Nam Ngum Lake
Day 11 ride approx 90km to Vientiane - finish
Day 12 Group farewell brunch or suchlike, maybe a group ride; disband; either train to Bangkok, or stay on in Laos

Bonus trip- depending on remainder of group- probably meet up in
Bangkok for some riding- we can probably organise this ourselves, or
might ask Grasshopper Adventures to book for accomodation if there are a few of us
taking the bonus option

Please note that we will be starting from Chiang Rai in Thailand, not Chiang Mai.  There are flights from Bangkok directly to Chiang Rai, and it is closer to the border than Chiang Mai
